Buttercup Plains

The Buttercup Plains are a hotly-disputed area of land on Shade. Their political history is not peaceful or straightforward, and many groups and factions have vied for control of the land or its economy.

The end stages of a nasty battle for control of the area correspond roughly with the beginning of hostilities in the Twine Wars. It's complicated (aka Herm hasn't finalised any details). 'Freedom fighters' (guerillas) calling themselves the Ebcedict Set are known to be involved in opposing a particularly noxious oppressive or totalitarian regime.
