TWIC was designed by logical linguists in a project similar in aim to real-world [Lojban], and contains familiar elements from most languages of its originating worlds.
TWIC differs from IWC by aim and scope; more attention was paid to making the language logical and easy to learn, and less to rigorous equality between the source languages. TWIC also reinstated a few sounds removed from IWC for being too hard for some species to pronounce. TWIC is more flexible and extendable, and thus less of a 'dead end' as far as language-evolution goes.
