Bede is not a
character as such, but he is a fictitious person. He is
Mutt's hypothetical 'daemon' (in the Philip Pullman, Northern Lights sense) or 'muse' (in the
Mews-verse sense). Bede resembles a red panda -
Ailurus fulgens styani, to be precise.
Mutt makes pictures of him.
