A genie is a type of demon with very high shapeshifting skill. Genies are always using and developing this skill.
'Genie' is short for 'gene genie'; it is usually taken to be short for 'demon geneticist', though genetics in demons is not at all like carbon-based genetics.
Not all demons with high shiftiness are genies. Some aren't interested.
