Pro has lots of animals. (Animal here refers to non-sapient or semi-sapient creatures. See also Sapient.)

Cat: Wild felines as well as the domesticated kind.
Chicken: Poultrybird. Sebastian has a complicated history with these.
Chulc: Instar animal, both wild and urban scavengers, a bit like a small dingo with a bushy tail. Viewed as pests. Rhymes with 'skulk'.
Chullic: Hiving insects from Instar. Similar to termites. Produce silks in their mounds. One species has been selectively bred to keep for commercial silkmaking; the rest are wild.
Dabsoof: Animal of Shade.
Horse: Domesticated herbivore. Note that Shade has two distinct 'horses'.
Dog: Domesticated canid found on Shade and elsewhere. See also hellhound and himmelhund.
Dragons: Reptile, usually large, often flying and/or magical.
Fairies of Shade: Animals rather than a sapient species.
Fifil: Instarrian small tree-climbing animal having medium, slightly reddish brown fur with lighter dapples. Has a long snout with hedgehog-like teeth, squirrel-like forefeet, tail thinner than a squirrel's in side profile (in fact it curls under at the sides). Omnivorous.
Moonspinner: a nightjar-like bird from Eodea.
Tricorn: Animal of Shade.
Umaa: Cowlike beast of burden and food animal.
Unicorn: Typically a one-horned horse or ungulate.
Wyvern: Two-legged, winged relative of the dragon, often smaller.
